Dot Conquest

Desktop only, for now: Dot Conquest on phones and tablets

Why the browser version of Dot Conquest runs only in desktop browsers today, what you see on a phone or tablet, and how the phone version is coming.Updated 13 October 2026

If you open the Play page on a phone or a tablet, you see a message instead of the game: the browser version is for desktop browsers for now, and the mobile app is coming. Here is why, and what to do.

Why not in a phone browser?

The browser version uses a mouse and a keyboard. It chooses dots with a left-drag, sends them with a right-click, and has keys for groups and the camera. A phone has none of those. Dot Conquest's touch controls exist, the lasso and the tap (see lasso, tap, fall back), but they belong to the phone app, and they are not part of the browser version yet.

Phone browsers are tight on memory. A full game in a browser tab uses a lot of it, and phone browsers close heavy tabs without warning. Your progress could be lost mid-battle.

Battery and heat. A game in a browser tab cannot pace itself the way an app can, so it runs hotter and drains the battery faster.

Rather than offer something that half-works, the page says so honestly.

How the page decides

The Play page looks at what kind of device your browser says it is. Phones and tablets get the message. A laptop or desktop with a touch screen still gets the game, played with its mouse or touchpad and keyboard.

If you are on a desktop and see the message anyway, your browser may be set to request the mobile version of sites. Turn that off and reload. If it still happens, a report with your browser's name helps.

The phone version is coming

Dot Conquest was designed for phones first, for Android and iPhone. It is the same game: the same campaign, the same Gauntlet, the same daily battle, with controls built for touch. It is planned as free to play, with no ads. See is Dot Conquest free.

It is not in any store yet. If you would like a note when it is, leave your email on the follow page, or in the form on the phone message itself. You can leave the list at any time.

Until then

  • Play on a computer, in any current desktop browser: the Play page.
  • Learn the game from the guides, which work on any screen.
