The first browser build of Dot Conquest is on the Play page. Press Play, wait for the download, and you are in the game's main menu. No account, no install, no payment.
What is in it
Everything a player can reach in the game today:
- The campaign: 100 levels across ten worlds, from Greenfields to The Crown, with a boss at the end of each world. See the worlds.
- The Gauntlet: a run of up to 30 battles in acts, each ending with a boss: The Charge, The Hatcheries, The Onslaught, Three Acts or The Mirror. It opens after ten campaign levels. See the Gauntlet guide.
- The Daily: one shared battle a day for everyone, and later two personal cards. It opens after five campaign levels. See the Daily.
- Skirmish: set up your own battle against one to seven AI generals.
- The tutorial: twelve short drills and the how-to-play reference.
What is different from the phone version
The browser version is the same game, with a few things left out or changed for the browser:
- Mouse and keyboard. You choose dots with a left-drag and send them with a right-click. The phone's touch controls are not in the browser yet, so the Play page shows a message on phones and tablets instead. See desktop only, for now.
- Nothing to buy. No shop, no boosts, no paid continues.
- No Quit button. Close the tab when you are done; your progress is already saved.
- Your browser's window. The game's own display settings (fullscreen, resolution, graphics) are not in the browser version's Settings: use the Fullscreen button under the game instead.
Where your progress lives
In your browser's own storage, on your device, written after every save. It stays in that browser: clearing the site's data, or playing in a private window, loses it. See saves in the browser for how to keep it safe.
What it does not send
The game asks before it shares anything about how you play, the first time you start it, and it sends nothing before you have answered. The page around it uses cookieless analytics: see the privacy page.
If something goes wrong
If the game will not start, the Play page shows the error with a button to copy the details and a button to report it. The game won't load has things to try first. Anything else, a bug, a level that feels unfair, a rule that is unclear, goes on the feedback page.
This is an early build of an unfinished game, and it will change often. Thank you for trying it.
